Hi, I’m Anika Lacerte (she/her), and I’m a Vancouver Island artist and the creator of The Handcrafted Story. I have been drawing every day since 2016 as a creative practice. These days, I mostly draw with a pen and sketchbook but I also draw on the Procreate App on my iPad. You can see what that looks like on Instagram, and learn how to do it yourself in my video class.

Some of my daily drawings become memorable greeting cards, stickers, postcards and repeat patterns.

I am often inspired by the nature around me, especially my garden (including my houseplants) and the ocean. People have described my style as clean and simple, modern folk.

I also make printables to inspire your creativity and story-telling, like my DIY calendars, Conversation Starters, kids activities, banners, and goal trackers.

I live with my family on Vancouver Island, in Sooke, near Victoria, BC, Canada, on the unceded traditional territories of the T’Sou-ke and Scia’new Nations.
