I’m still experimenting to find the perfect size. The book I started with was WAY too big: A giant Dylusions 9×12″ beast. Then I moved to an 8.5×5.5″ altered book. This week I’ve been working in a 5.5×5″ handmade book and I think I just might like it best of all.

I’m an 81/2 by 11 kind of a girl. I have trouble working small! Thanks for being such a great member of the GM creative team!

I am surprising myself by using many different sizes lately. I used to be a 9 x 12 Moleskine girl. Now, I go with the flow. The only size I haven’t tried yet is the very small ones.

Oh I recently discovered that I looooove a biggish size! I need a 19cm by 22cm (I think that’s what it is!) journal. With a hardcover.
It’s the perfect siE for me!

I’m experimenting still – my current journal is a5 – at the moment im happy with its side but I can imagine being happier with a bigger page as I become more confident

My favorite size is between 5×7 to 6×9. I alter books for my journals so they are mostly in this size range. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!

I love these effective, contrasted and pretty pages!

I have a thick A4 size book that stays at home, and then this summer I am experimenting with index card journaling and an A5 sketchbook… I need to check your Instagram.

I’m on my first art journal. It’s 8×8 and I like that size so far.

I worked in a pretty large altered book for this last season and was surprised that I liked having more space! Now trying to go back to my 8.5 x 5.5 in size feels too small. I have no idea what I will choose for the next season!

Just lately I have been loving the idea of tiny art journals. I have made a couple to play with for the next season of Get Messy.

I like a fairly large size so I can use larger magazine images, but then I find filling the pages I don’t use huge images on very difficult in larger journals. So I’m always in flux- I wish there were a journal with a mix of large and small pages (I suppose I can make one, but that’s just one more thing that takes me away from actually making art…)

I honestly don’t have a favorite size. I work in all sizes of blank journals but also like to use books to journal in so really any size goes! Thanks for being part of the hop and for the giveaway!

I’ve only just started art journaling and find a smaller page – 6″x9″ or even 4″x6″ less intimidating than larger pages

I use the 9×12 Dylusions, and I love it!! I am thinking I want to start a more compact journal for when I travel.

That spread is so beautiful, I love how simple it looks. I love the traditional moleskine size but I haven’t given much of anything else a try yet.

Personally I have used Moleskine cashiers for LONG time. But I take note of how friends are rocking the larger sizes (8×11 or bigger!) and want to try it. It seems intimidating due to all that real estate!

I’ve started out with an A5 journal so that I’m not too intimidated with a big blank page, but I think I’ll be itching to spread my wings pretty quickly!

Somehow I like every size, there is something to discover everywhere. I love the possibilities that the different sizes have and I enjoy experimenting!

I’ve used many different sizes, but I enjoy working in small, pocket-sized journals the most. My favorite is the soft cover Moleskine classic (3.5″ x 5.5″).
