Get Messy Art Journal from The Handcrafted Story

For this week’s Get Messy Art Journal pages, I used a journal lines stamp I made.

Make Your Own Stamp

I made my own stamp using a Speedball Speedy-Cut Carving Blocks, which was 2.75″x4.5″. The linoleum cutter I used was a Speedball linoelum cutter and two blades, sizes 1 and 2 (they are interchangeable) from an art supply store. I used an ink pad I already owned Palette Hybrid Inkpad by Stewart Superior in black.

I also used a tiny alphabet stamp set I bought at Michael’s.

Have you made your own stamps? Write about it in the comments.

Get Messy is an art journal challenge where a gang of crafty vixens are sharing art journal pages we have created to practice our skills and push past our creative limits with hopes to inspire. We will be sharing our work around social media so follow the hashtag #getmessyartjournal.

Art Journaling

I am participating in the 31 Days, which is a blogging challenge in October organized by The Nester. I have chosen to (attempt) to write Monday-Friday during October on the topic of art journaling.
