Make a simple Scandinavian-inspired paper garland for Christmas using this tutorial.
- Print out Christmas Paper Garland Template.
- Cut out and trace onto cereal boxes.
- Trace onto black paper and cut out. (I used Recollections brand from Michael’s, 65 lb. black cardstock).
- Sew the shapes together (I used black and white baker’s twine).
I used scissors to cut it all out except the windows, which I cut out with an xacto knife.
With the exception of cutting out the windows, our five-year-old was able to use these cereal box templates to make her own shapes. I kept my garland plain, but kids would likely enjoy decorating with felts, paint or glitter glue.
If you make this paper garland, I would love to see a photo. Post a link in the comments.
