Paper Collage Art

Paper collage from The Handcrafted Story. Machine stitching paper and fabric squares in a grid.

This week’s paper collage art journal page is part of a new batch of pages with a paper collage theme. I was interested in trying some paper collage, being inspired by Katie Licht’s collage work. I like how often she uses a limited colour palette and also how she often uses grid/graph paper and paper with words on it.

This time I tried using a single page rather than two pages. I think a single page makes me think it could be frameable art, and I really like that idea of making small pieces so I can change my artwork more frequently.

Very nice! I love the stitching and the colors give the page an “Asian” artwork feel!
