doodle drawings get messy art journal

Ever since I first read One Thousand Gifts, I have been interested in the idea of journaling things I am thankful for. How many things could I list and how much would it change my thinking? So this month’s #getmessyartjournal challenges inspired me to make a doodle list of some of the things I’m thankful for.

I was inspired by Danny Gregory’s illustration in his book the Creative License to draw things in front of me. I wrote about the Creative License book in a recent creative book review.

Journaling Challenge: Gratitude. What are you grateful for? What aspects of your life are you thankful for, that you might be overlooking while being busy?

Art Challenge: Use visual examples for at least three things you’re grateful for. Photos/doodles/magazine cut outs/stickers/anything. SHOW us your gratitude!

Have you tried journaling your gratitude? Have you read One Thousand Gifts, and have you tried listing 1000 gifts? Share your experience in the comments.

Get Messy is an art journal challenge where a gang of crafty vixens are sharing art journal pages we have created to practice our skills and push past our creative limits with hopes to inspire. We will be sharing our work around social media so follow the hashtag #getmessyartjournal.

Art Journaling

I am participating in the 31 Days, which is a blogging challenge in October organized by The Nester. I have chosen to (attempt) to write Monday-Friday during October on the topic of art journaling.
