DIY Paint Markers on Porcelain Bowls

Using paint markers on ceramic bowls is something I’ve been wanting to try for a long time. I especially liked the faces Wilma made on her dishes. For my first attempt, I tried her simple faces and really like them.

  • Paint markers. I used a Pebeo Porcelain Pen paint marker, 0.7mm, Anthracite Black.
  • Ceramic bowls. I bought one bowl at a dollar store and another at a thrift store. I preferred the look of the paint markers on the brighter white bowl from the dollar store over the creamier white of the thrift store bowl.

This is Project 6 of 37 Projects.

37 Projects is a year-long set of projects I am attempting to complete before my 37th birthday. I have a growing list of projects I’d like to do (mostly craft projects) and I am picking from my list for this project. I was inspired by Elise Blaha Cripe’s 26 Projects. See projects 1, 2, and
3, 4.
